Hows the move gone.....have you shot any herons yet.... hows the life of the landed gentry treating you?

Posts: 6,666December 2011 Good but the amount of cash its costing is f'king ridiculous. I have found a fantastic butchers though, lovely beef from there and theres a guy who sells wild boar as well. The land is a pain in the backside at the minute. Got 4 horses of our own now and they are all going mental because they can't be turned out. Fields are destroyed with all the rain and the little brook that runs around is close to overflowing, if it overflows into the lake I expect to lose a lot of fish. Arena is flooding and needs harrowing. Dreading any snow and my 4x4 has got a fuel leak. All in all, its not what you'd call fun, however, when the sun comes out and the wind stops blowing,its really rather lovely. Its probably been the worst time to move, busy with work as it is without the added drama of trying to sort all the house out as well.

Sounds tough yet character forming. And you'll be loving it when the hard work starts to pay off.
Shame you didn't get some pigs is before hand... they love a mud bath!
Maybe you should sort out a little flickr account for it, to chart its progress.
