Non knee jerk/biased opinion welcome

    Had me hands full today so missed the game, all I've read is that Stoke smashed us because we were the worst team ever but I know how dramatic some of the people on here gt hen we lose.

    Stats according to BBC are as follows:

    EVERTON v STOKE


    Possesion

    • Stoke 43%


    Attempts on target


    • Everton 4

    Looks like Everton were the better by this, anyone tell me genuinely whether the stats do lie on this one?.. We had limp shots or whatever to their near goal attempts or what? Were we unlucky to lose? 4 shots on target isn't good for either team to be fair so it was clearly not a classic game.

    It was the same old story really, plenty of possession but we never forced the keeper to make a save. They scored with there only shot on target all game and we had nothing up front, and we never went 4 4 2 even when we were losing! On a positive note we defended quite well but goals win you games and we never looked like scoring.

    Same old story,goals win games and we can't score.The midfield can't link up with the strikers or i should say striker.How long can Moyes keep these tactics? Probably until it's too late or he gets fired whichever comes first.Cahill is passed his best as is Osman,they have great servants to Everton but their time is up also Hibbo has to go,he just doesn't have it anymore(did he ever).We need a good clear out in January,let's see who Moyes brings in,ought to be interesting.

    the clear out should start with Moyes in my opinion. Negative tactics and seemingly no clue how to change Football has changed yet he thinks he can still play the same way that got us 4th. ie nick games 1 nil. bet its 451 against Tamworth.

    Can describe the game very simply. Lots of crosses that were meat and drink to Stoke. Lots of straight balls from Heitinga in particular which were frustrating. Very little thru the middle. A couple of decent crosses from Bily but he faded like he always does. Baines was out of sorts too. Vellios didn't have much success but I think even if we had Rooney or Van Persie up front today, things wouldn't have been much different.

    You agree with me saying poor tactics? But I didn't say anything about tactics! We have no creativity either out wide without Drenthe or thru the middle. There's no midfield Moyes could have picked today that would have been creative!

    I was agreeing with the Rooney and Van Persie comment. And it was correct because how Everton were playing and our style of play is set up by Mr Moyes who I believe let us down today. Don't get me wrong I don't want him out but today he let the fans down.

    I think it was unfair to put a 19 year old up front on his own from the start. I think it would be even more unfair to expect a 17 year old to make all the difference

    Moyes was let down today by inept performances all over the pitch from players he has shown a lot of loyalty to in the past, what stand did you watch the game from Dan?

    Imo fizz lad, if we are going to play the tactics we are doing, get the ball out wide and put crosses in, we need to play 2 lads upfront that are 6 foot tall + and actually get them to get into the box and try and get them on the end of the crosses cos we are putting the ball in enough but nobody is making the effort to get on the end of the crosses, is it a lack of fitness and them not pysichally able to get there??

    If you can't score goals and you don't have enough players in positions to score goals, you should play 2 strikers rather than 1.

    Isn't that just common sense?
