Posts: 1,841December 2011 True tho....Its time to move on for god sakes, if thoes guys dont want to post no more then fine, its their prerogative not too.Im sorry but be thankful to the guys that do post and who do come on every day to keep this forum going.........No one asked any of the guys Galway mentioned to stop posting, they decided to do so on their own merit and I respect them for i....Do i miss the old banter yes, but there you go!!!

I think you may have missed his point. Of the three or four posters he mentioned all bar one are still on here but perhaps not posting as often. I think GBN was talking more about the quality of posts and the types of debate or argument that used to take place....I may be wrong though..... -

But we need to adopt it again, maybe its the current format where all posts are being posted instead of having to go to the general room like past times, it was like 2 different pubs in a away, general to get away from footie and blueroom if you wanted to moan about the blues...Maybe we should reveres it back to see if it will better the quality of the posts, I for one think it would...thoughts?

Posts: 1,794December 2011 I remember the first blue room. it was very busy. it was also closed I think as things got waaay out of hand. I stopped going on after all the constant calls for Moyes to go so we could get Curbishley or Megson in. It was depressingly repetitive. The debates got heated and rationale was responded to by death threats by vanilla ice gangsta wannabees.
The past wasn't always rosy, and some of these new lads are a good read when I can be arsed to come back.
I think separating the rooms is a good idea again, there's sod all point in me posting under the option 'pseudo scientific eastern mythology' when it doesn't change where it goes. -

I dont think so. If I'm correct a lot of people wanted them merged so as to attract the guys that come on to talk footy into the general discussions. I think we are all to blame, maybe peoples circumstances have changed and they dont have the time anymore, but the effort that is being put into discussions is poor. You quite rightly pointed out that the guys who post on here daily are the ones that are keeping the place going and its true to say that we often look back with rose tinted glasses.
GOT have a section called the Ale House, similar to your theme of tw pubs, why not set up a few stickies once the post count has risen above 100? The arguement can be added to daily and once interest starts to fall un stickie it and let it drift ? Just a thought. -
