Posts: 7,477December 2011 Worst pair i ever had were my all time hero Alan Ball white boots. Jeeez they were uncomfortable and cut the hell outta my ankle bones, and rubbed like hell on your big toe. Wish to god i'd kept them though, they'd be worth a few bob, or i'd have em stuck on my wall like......

Posts: 7,477December 2011 I was playing footie in the cobbled streets of Mold in 1970, practicing my penalty taking up against the gable end of Mrs Evans the Bread shop, doing the commentary as i took aim. " Its Alan Ball, this penalty to win the FA Cup against L'pool", when suddenly there was this squeeky voice that shouted "hey son, pass the ball over here". I turned only to be confronted by him, yes him, the greatest of them all, little curly Alan Ball. I passed him the ball, and he said to me, "always pick your spot son, dont change your mind and hit it well". He signed the old battered casey, and again spoke to me only this time, he pulled out of a bag, a pair of shiny white Alan Ball boots, "here ya go son, see if these help ya". No sooner had he passed the boots to me than he had gone, striding out along those cobbled streets of Mold.
So there you have it the story of how i came to have Alan Balls White Boots, goodnight, sleep tight YGV.......... -

right ok. but did you have family from merseyside or from there?? or one day you woke up and realised you were born an evertonian and were chosen to be one ,a bit like when a man decides hes a born a woman???

No.Its something inside me, that i feel, that makes me an Evertonian. If you dont feel it too, perhaps you arn't an Evertonian?
