I don't think we need a lot of mods, it's not like they have to control thousands of posters. still a fair firm hand goes a long way. like having a word with Zagan and Deso about being quite so vicious at each other. I am not getting drawn into a debate over who said what, but it is all a bit personal and nasty.

A good web team will have used the HTML standards and ensured cross browser compatibility. The results speak volumes.

It improved functionality.... behind the scenes...I said if it aint broke dont fix it, they said:

That is certainly not our experience. Based on the team of moderators, who were invited to provide a wishlist and opinions when we began work on the new site, the old forum was very restricted and needed a great deal of work to provide the kind of functionality available elsewhere. It was felt it was long in the tooth and a new solution was needed. The old forum was also very difficult to implement a sign-on with and whilst, on the face of it, the launch of this new forum did not exactly do much in the way of improving this, it is actually a much easier approach than the previous forum, which will help us further down the line when we introduce SingleSignOn across all our web platforms.  The old forum was also a commercial product, and this restricted the work we could do with the forum.  This new forum has been adopted to allow us to use elements that a community of developers have worked on, and it will also allow us to add / move features.  (i.e. allowing us to move the search, move the poll).
