Lost a close one on a majority decision.....

    Thankyou to everyone that wished me luck yesterday, was very much appreciated!

    Unfortunately, lost a very close fight, but, i had a great experience and it was a great show that all the lads put on for the 300 or so in attendance :)

    Was he a big opponent or did a little kid knock you down first round and your trying to make yourself feel better?

    he was a big unit mate, must have been giving him 2 stone easy, he's had 4 fights and won 3 in the first minute by knock out. Ive no complaints, i was definitely doing the cleaner work, just obviously didnt do enough to nick it at the end!

    Yes mate, i apologized for letting everyone down after, the missus and my sister, few mates came to watch, so i was gutted i couldnt find that bit extra in the last round to nick it.... :(

    Sadly i dont think you took my advice, hence why you lost. I dont do losers only winners, it puts a stain on my advice. Was going to offer my services in your corner but come on..... bouts 1- W 0 - D 0- L 1...........

    Howie i did exactly as you said, kept it tight, elbows in, followed through with my shots, very frustrating when most of his punches were landing on my gloves and my shots were landing cleanly, most there thought i'd done enough to win it. But thats club boxing i suppose!

    Wasnt going to come back on until this mess of a Forum was fixed, but just had to answer you. If your right what you said you must be devastated and eager to get back in the ring. Did anyone tape it, if yes get hold of it and study it, it will tell you so much about how you did, and also we'd all like you to post it on here, so we can all offer you our boxing knowledge and advice........ go on Sambo....

    hahaha, al work out how to get it sent t oyou when iget it howie, it should give you a good laugh!

    just talking to my coach and he summed it up for me, he said

    1st round he came out swinging and i was like wtf...

    2nd round i boxed his head off.

    and the last minute of the 3rd round my cold had jsut worn me out and i had nothing left to give...!

    it was definitely cold howie, i sparred 4 hard rounds with my an ex pro only last week and was fine so it was a tad frustrating to get cold the day before the fight, but htats life i suppose sods law and all that :)
