Moyes aware of weakness...

He's admitted we need a striker - but not really discussed the ones we have. He's pretty much said he expects 15-20 a season from his striker. I think he will go for a striker in January and I wouldnt be surprised if he splashes out all of the 50p that that fan threw at Suarez during the derby!

I'm sure the club said he could have spent the Arteta money so if we have that and sell Bily we should do okay.

I don't understand why he goes on about how we are lacking goals yet he leaves our top scorer (Vellios) on the bench every week!

If Vellios scored a hat trick next week he still wudnt start.......

    Moyes loves goals from defenders
    4-6-0

4-6-0 is far too positive for Moyes, he will play 8-2-0 next week.

No striker will get that many goals in a season playing our formation. I don't understand how an experience manager can be so stupid?

Exactly, it seems everyone can see this but the man himself!

If he was really aware of the weaknesses he'd stop trying to play Victor Anichebe

That's what I am saying really. He is winning games which is the most important thing, but he hasn't changed his tactics.

he has changed his tactics. Two games playing 4-4-2. Why the **** doesnt anyone else see this. Saha and Cahill have played up front. Not five across the middle.. GRRRR!!!!!!

True, but I don't know how he cannot see what everyone else can see. He is on something like £70k a week now, I wonder what he was on at Preston or even when he first came here. He couldn't have been on more than £20K a week surely?

I agree with this mate! I dont know why.  I would love to see him start with Vellios and Straq or Saha or even one of the youngsters.

Moyes' love for cahill forces him into this weak lineup and is losing matches.  One awesome pass v bolton does not make up for what has been a horribly underperforming year.

I saw 3 :D In Cahill We Trust and either way there's no one at the club I'd rather see there. Id like to see Vellios for Saha and Saha can take on the role of 'super sub' and although I wouldn't mind seeing Bilyaletdinov behind the striker I prefer Cahill to be there on a more regular basis.

This is where you and I disagree philosophically.  I think cahll is a good player (not as good as you view him), but he is not in a position where he can be effective.  we lose too much putting him in that particular role.  I think moyes likes him there because a couple years ago when we had dire need cahill stepped up.  He isnt stepping up now and needs to be benched or moved to a new role.  Put him back where ossie has been, put barkley or bily or pair velios with saha (assume he insists on playing saha) and we get the firepower needed to score goals.

we lose games because we dont score.  it's not that we dont have opportunities, we simply do not convert.  this is moyes' fault.

I wouldn't play Barkley. He's not good enough YET. Barkley will be a good player but TBH he's 17 and not ready for the Prem. In two or three years he's going to be an exceptional player but at the moment I'd only give him the occasional substitute appearance. It would be interesting to see Bilyaletdinov play there because he has a great left foot on him but as for Vellios I'd play him instead of Saha. I'm sick of watching Saha lazily walking about the place.
