If anyone's interested in horse racing, do you fancy doing a bit of a competition? Nothing at stake though, just a bit of fun? Was thinking if you pick a horse from each race and so many points for a win, 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th? Double the points for your NAP? Just an idea I thought I'd put across.....

    1st - 10pts
    2nd - 8pts
    3rd - 6pts
    4th - 4pts
    5th - 2pts

    My selections:

    Ritual 2-00
    Zumbi 2-30
    Sea Moon 3-05
    Midday 3-40 NAP
    West Leake Hare 4-15
    Ithoughtitwasover 4-50

Yeah, not goin' with as much money as I'd hoped though, f'd meself up at the weekend by losing hundreds on the online betting.... So I shut my account and I'm having to stick to patents this week until Saturday and then fiver a race on Saturday! Would advise anyone not to use online gambling sites, it's too easy to keep putting money into the accounts.

It was just a one off this weekend mate, never usually gone that far, but a mixture of boredom and online sites is not good! I had to get myself banned from the website for five years. I can still go on to check odds etc, just not allowed to bet on them.

I could imagine how you could spend alot on online bookies, coz your not physically handing over money, some people actually make a great living out of gambling dont they, tax free lol

I've had similar problems in the past Andy. I have set myself a maximum deposit limit per day, so i can't lose too much in one day,

I'd love to BE a bookie, sounds like a great job, a modern-day Highwayman haha. Yeah, the gambling sites are far too accessible if you've got an account, dead easy to keep depositing money. I find it better going into the shop because it's easier to walk out with your money intact.

I've seen on some sites that you can set a limit, but the William Hill website doesn't seem to offer that.

Await The Dawn should be interesting, think I heard earlier it's never ran in Grade One company before and yet it's odds-on today?? If I understood how 'laying' works, I would be laying that one.

Scores after Race 1 of Day 1:

    Nilsatis1955 - 4pts

I will allow any late entries but only for the next three days. Late entries will not be allowed to select any horses for the remainder of today.

Also, if anyone knows what came fifth and if it's either mine or yours and I don't pick up on it, let me know.....
