In the summer we sold 3 strikers vaughn, yakubu and beckford... what im wondering is if moyes knew vaughn had gone and was trying to move yakubu on why didnt he loan in a striker at that point? before the yakubu and beckford deal was done

It's not the fact we sold 3 strikers but we didn't give ourselves the time bring in another striker than wat we already have

Could be wrong but I think Beckford was the first to go. I think we had to sell someone urgently to keep the core team intact and he was first to get an offer. Vaughn was never going to be a regular so we got rid and still had no money. Then the Yak deal came in and we got rid because he was a lame duck for us and we still hadn't cleared enough to buy replacements.. We had no money so we got no one.. Then finally Arteta slapped in a transfer request at the 11th hour and we got the two loans we had lined up in the last minute of business..
    Striker and a winger.
The Arteta one was not a necessity the others unfortunately were. That's how I see it anyway.
