This time we have a brilliant keeper in Joe Hart and ive always said thats what any team needs, to win a major championshipship. he shoudve played in the last tournament instead of Green but as per usual like all england mangers they go for experience instead of form.
We havent had a keeper like him since Seaman. I think we`ll go closer next year

as per usual like all england mangers they go for the hyped up gobshites instead of the better players and a balanced team

We havent had a keeper like him since Seaman. I think we`ll go no closer next year as we dont have players who are composed on the ball or with a bit of skill or flair in the middle.

    Just a further tweak..

Considering the last England manager took a striker to the World Cup who hadn't even made his Premier League debut and whom he'd shown no interest in trying out in the pre World Cup friendlies and who was so young and inexperienced he couldn't be used in Germany....despite the fact that the manager proceeded to bring only one other fit striker to Germany...just coz the Sun newspaper said he should....

.....And considering the current England manager went to the 2010 World Cup with no capable left winger and proceeded to shoe-horn right wingers onto left wing and then when that bombed, central midfielders onto the left wing all while leaving the likels of Ashley Young and Adam Johnson at home....

.....And considering both of them persisted with playing two attacking central midfilers coz they hadn't the balls to drop Gerrard or Lampard ....I'll stick to mine

Oddly, IMO it's not an improvement in the Goalkeeper that might help England - goalkeepers are not at fault for the clueless outfiled displays and the fact that the team look like they're complete strangers, Its the fact that Steven Gerrard might be un-selectable. That's what'll help England!!

But they'll still have that useless, pointless twirp Gareth Barry - and when the pressure is on, they still won't deliver!!

with the new (younger) england team, rodwell, young, adam johnson, walker, sturridge, baines, jags etc then surly we have a slim chance of at least making a name for ourselves instead of suffering embarrassment.

sambo.  what has me making a positive comment about Everton have to do with this thread?
i think if you do you research i posted a thread about a `good win` saturday.

Beano. . i think that no ones place is safe in the England team now, we seem to have a good range of quality now. gonna miss rooney though

"England are going to win!!!" is something we hear EVERY time we enter a World cup or a Euros and after every single one we end up saying they are all sh|te. Nice to see this one is following the same exhausted pattern.

well i did say might. but at last we can go into a tournament now knowing our last line of defence is solid.
before with Green and James, couldnt say that

Depends who he selects to play centre back. If Gary Cahill plays and Glen Johnson plays right back then it would be for from solid.

We'll have a clearer view on Friday, could get a Very tough group or a decent draw. Agree about us having a GOOD Keeper this time though.

No, they moved to Great Britain in 1066.
