sees Everton as the best chance of making it back into the England squad. Says a bit doesnt it. Everton attractive to players? Superb!

I would be absolutely made up if we got Defoe on loan. Absolute natural finisher. 'Orrible bar steward n all.

If its true then we should do whatever possible to get him. You can only believe so much about what comes out of the papers but I really hope this one is true. I've always like Defoe and feel we've missed out at previous times he's been available.

He's too small to play upfront on his own and Moyes wont play 2 strikers so I can't see this happening.

Agree with Dan. He doesn't suit 4-5-1 and moyes will never drop that. Imagine him and Vellios up front together.

I'd be more keen on Pavlachenko personally!
    And its more realistic too!

Exactly ! Harry is not a soft hearted sentimentalist who would let Defoe go to a team that may well be challenging Spurs for position by March/April ! Don't laugh, we finish strongly and Spurs fade away ! Not as though Harry needs to save on wages either, so I guess we can all stop discussing the team formation including Defoe now !

We can still talk about Pavlachenko though!
He has said he wants to leave in order to get into Russia's Euro 2012 squad. Plus it looks like 'arry wants to sign another striker and he does need to save!

i would think Pavelachenko would be a strong possiblity........one problem might be though, we have another russian saying he needs to leave the club if he wants to play for Russia at Euro 2012....if Pav rings up Billy, i wonder what advice he'd get?.....

Considering Bily doesn't know whether he'll actually leave, I'd imagine that advice would be something like, get your **** up here - we have 4uck all up front and you'd be a shoe-in for the team - and I'm lonely!

Besides, I wouldn't say international team mates wait until such times to talk to each other about their prospective clubs.

well lets hope Bily has spoken well about life on merseyside......would be delighted to get someone of pavelchenko's quality into our team....coming from Russia you'd think Bily would be loving the place, but he always looks so damn unhappy....

Not only has Harry said he's going nowhere but Defoe after their game on Saturday said what a great time it was playing for Spurs at this time and such a good squad of virtually 2 teams there...........doesnt sound to me like he wants to go anywhere......
