...and it say Everton are challenging Drenthe to earn a permanent move to Goodison. I'd of thought we'd be doing whatever we can to keep him. He has 2 goals and 5 assists!

To be fair, I`m not the biggest fan of Moyes. Drenthe is quite an ego and a troublemaker, though. Perhaps Moyes is trying to ensure that Drenthe knows who is in charge. In Drenthes interview a couple days ago, he seemed quite ok with Moyes media talk.

I think he had a bust up with the manager of Hércules CF last year when he was on loan there.

Troublemaker? Where your get from? I'd like him to stay if he carries on the way he's playing, he's abit greedy but, I think thats just him trying to impress maybe? He's exciting player with the ball and positive going forward. Troublemaker???? IMWT

He went on strike at Feyenoord to force through a move to Real Madrid, then went on strike at Madrid when the fans were giving him stick, then went on strike at Hercules because he wasn't happy there.

The stuff at Hercules was because they couldn't afford their players wages. He went 3 weeks without pay, before refusing to return there until he was paid. Considering he wasnt a Hercules player, I don't see a problem with that and would have done the same thing.

Not sure what he did at Madrid but I think the fans thought he was a bit of a joke (watch the YouTube vids). Anyway, a few years ago he was in the same u21 team as Robben, and it was drenthe everyone was talking about. Think we need to snap the lad up sharpish before someone like Stoke comes in for him.

i dont think that drenthe is a trouble maker but he did have a wild social life for a time. he's got what it takes obviously but we dont want him unless he wants us.

we dont want another fernandez fiasco.the trouble with loans like drenthe is, if does well he will attract the interest of other clubs, if he doesnt we wont want him.

moysey is smart enough to know that and to put him on the back foot. the jury is still out but he shows some promise and if he works out and wants to play for EVERTON, then maybe he will be a good signing.

Liverpool Set To Upset Everton With Transfer Move

"Royston Drenthe is a summer transfer target for Liverpool, as they look to swipe the Dutchman from under their rivals noses.
Drenthe is currently on a season long loan at Everton and has featured heavily in their Premier League campaign this term however they can not afford to hang on to the player in the summer and with Real Madrid eager to sell, Liverpool are thought to be interested in taking Drenthe across Stanley Park to Anfield, a move which Drenthe is thought to welcome. The 24-year-old has been a huge hit amongst the Everton faithful with his determination and match winning performances and has attracted interest from abroad with some pundits in Spain claiming that Drenthe is at Everton to source a move to a bigger club but Drenthe has shrugged off this claim in recent days.Drenthe could be available for as little as £2.5million, a steal for such a promising player who at the right club will really shine."
