    Isn't this correct?

    Currently we have Drenthe and Stracq on loan. Also Dier (but I don't think he counts coz he doesn't have a sqaud number). So if in January, we add Donovan to Drenthe and Stracq, we're maxed out on loans and all the talk about bringing Pavlyuchenko or any other striker on loan is moot.

    We would have to spend some money to sign Drenthe on a permanent basis in January (or before) to free up another loan spot if it's true that we're bringing Donovan in (which I hope it is).

    Could possibly send straqualursi back, Moyes hasn't gave him a look in and may prefer to buy 1 striker send straq back and take someody else on loan... I ridicule moyes' decision to take on a player such as straq and not give him the opportunity like he has done with vellios, gueye, barkley and rodwell

    although i'd like to see him be given the chance id rather have moyes bring in someone he will actually play

    lol - i've had a gander and I cant see any limitations... maybe its three loan players in the starting 11?

    Premier League Rules:

    M.7.5 - the maximum number of Temporary Transfers to any one Club registrable in the same
    Season shall be 4 and in no circumstances shall more than 1 be from the same Transferor
    Club save there shall be excluded from these numbers any Temporary Transfer of the
    kind described in Rule M.7.6.1 or M.7.6.2;

    7.6 not more than 2 Temporary Transfers shall be registered by a Club at the same time
    except that there shall be excluded from that number:
    7.6.1 any Temporary Transfer which become permanent; and
    7.6.2 the Temporary Transfer of a goalkeeper which in its absolute discretion the Board
    may allow in circumstances it considers to be exceptional
