    no.

he cost us nothing and we made 3.5million on him.

he was greedy, selfish and lazy.

not good enough for the prem either imo.

Moves plays a lone striker. Beckford was not a lone striker. Would have liked to see him in a partnership with Saha or even Vellios (think he could have fed well off Tolos). Good bit o business for us....

So he was our top scorer in his first season in the PL and you don't think he was for the PL?

i think that selling beckford was a mistake he had one season in the epl and was our top scorer. he wasnt another thierry henri but he was a good enough striker to make his presence felt and contribute to the teams success.

the same goes for the yak. possibly he, and maybe becks had a falling out with moysey.

moysey has to realise he isnt alex ferguson. he can't afford to be ruthless and ditch players because we can't step into the market place and buy replacements.

he needs to change his management style to reflect his reality.

in the long term no, a one trick pony striker that opposing teams defenders would have had him worked on this season and he would have struggled to 5 goals imo

Yak was rubbish for us because Moyes makes good strikers rubbish for us in that stupid 4-5-1. Yak has 5 goals this season in a 4-4-2. It WAS a mistake selling Yak.

Do i think we would be higher up the league with Beckford? No....

At the time I was unhappy with selling him, but now im glad we did...

No matter if moyes had a billion pounds to spend, I still think his man management of strikers is awful, he can turn a championship defender into an International, but to do it to a striker, he doesn't have the ability in my opinion and never will....

    Amen
