there are no prizes for competing in the transfer market
no points to be gained
you'd have thought - two weeks ago - RS had won the league, they've just been trying to catch up with Everton
FACT

FACT
on last season ADAM defo we were stuck with heitenga or neville in the centre some games and on last seasons form pretty sure adam would of been playing ahead of rodwell. we didnt need a left back so cant put that name in,henderson was pretty much on par with rodwell probably slightly better(which isnt great) but im pretty sure he would of been getting games in the first team so pretty much all of them would of been featuring in our first team last season apart from there left back.gwladysstreet said:

Since end of last window - Jan 2011 - we were third best team in the league - FACT
Of the players who RS had signed and immediately became first teamers, which would have done the same at Everton?
Henderson - nope
Adam - nope
Left back - nope
Perhaps Downing.
the rest aren't catch up players, they are make do with players. About £40m spend on players not good enough for us.
I could also mention that thier talismanic players Gerrard and Carragher are on thier way out too.

The sale of Torres was probably the best bit of business they have done, but that won't save them when the banks come calling. The players they have will keep them in the top half; wouldn't mind betting that we finish above them. So its not all gloom and doom. Like everybody else, I would like to see some players coming in, but we will just have to trust DM, because BK will not let us fall further into debt, than we already are. Then where do we go!!!

they have now added to their team in areas that they needed bar centre back (but it isnt like agger of skrtel are bad players) and have a better back room staff and that means they are now catching up to us?????????????
thats like many city fans saying dont worry about united they are still catching up to us, they arent on our level yet.
