    Everton legend Graeme Sharp has told radio listeners that the potential takeover from an Indian group has gone quiet.

    Everton had been linked in recent weeks to a takeover by the Jain Group from India, and had even met with executives from the group, showing them around Goodison Park.

    This sparked a flurry of interest from Evertonians, but Sharp today said that things may have tailed off.

    Speaking on TalkSport radio to Andy Gray, he said, “The last rumour was supposed to be an Indian group coming in to takeover, but it’s all gone quiet.”
