But surely although they've signed a confidentiality agreement, there are some things they're allowed to say, such as those examples I gave in a post just above.

Andy....here are the rules of a confidentiality agreement.
No 1: Don't say anything to anyone
No 2: Abide bu rule No 1
No 3: rule 34

So you quite literally cannot say ANYTHING?

It'd be something worth discussing though wouldn't it?

Depends on the rules on discloser. Either party can have had any specific clause put in before its signed or request something be removed if the other party is in agreement once its signed.
In short, its up to the board of the company and the potential buyer.
But the general rule of thumb is. Money likes silence.

Hmmmm, that's interesting, never knew how watertight these things can be.......
OldGoldenVision said:I would much rather they got their heads down and got negotiations out the way, rather than fill the air with speculation...

They are not filling the air with speculation though... Its the forums and papers doing that, the club are saying nothing and that is what some are getting so annoyed by...AndyForsyth said:

They are not filling the air with speculation though... Its the forums and papers doing that, the club are saying nothing and that is what some are getting so annoyed by...
The anti board forum dwellers in their desparation to accept anything they can find to have a go at the board are lapping up any unfounded rumour, and turning it into factual board released undercover leaks and using that to
claim they are trying to undermine the BU protests by sending out such information..
If you ask them they will tell you they are often in talks with potential buyers.... Bill said this in the BU meeting in fact. This is irrigardless of if there is a march planned or not. Generally its ignored but when convenient its used as a tool against them.
I think the board should step down but the bs conspiracies from the forums uprising contingent are working overdrive of late and its getting embarrasing.
ps It was 120mil according to Harris not 150mil
When Everton are simply putting their heads down and trying to negotiate
a contract.

OldGoldenVision said:Not pro Kenright. Not pro Board. I'll get that little disclaimer in first as I know its the favourite accusation of BU members.
Right, there are BU members who have the audacity to suggest that the signing/announcement of Fellaini is because of the march on Saturday. Seriously... So, the club forced Fellaini to sign to appease the BU?
-----------------
Someone suggested it was a publicity stunt which I thought was a load of rubbish to be fair. I just think the next thing now is to get the investment talks sorted one way or another.
OldGoldenVision said:The overall idea that the BU want more for the club is only to be applauded, but this "we're not anti BK" and then they're all their with signs saying "BK out"; and every time any news of a player signing, potential investor, or anything good comes out, its because they're marching... well come on, please.
-----------------
Everyone wants more for the club, the BU have no devine right to that point.

Ihater - I didnt say they were filling the air with speculation. It was a response to Andy's suggestion that the club should be saying more.
