Good, and if they get more than 1,500 people to march even given more than two weeks notice i'd be surprised.

It doesn't tend to kick off with these marches does it?

Feel the Bu will be a bit lethargic tomorrow after todays news.

What can they possibly protest about.

A lack of investment? Stagnation of the board to get things moving? Kenwright's refusal to lower his already over-estimated price of £150m? Which you've even said was too much Milky.....

Interesting how it's all gone quiet again on these Indians and Qataris' supposed interest......

Andy, no offense but how has it "gone quiet again"?

There is really no point in talking to the BU or its supporters, much as I've tried in the past.

They are just angry and upset about Everton not being a Manchester united, a chelsea, arsenal or more pertinently... a Manchester city. But no more than that, there is no logic or understanding behind anything they have to say. Its just embarrassing for the club really.

I saw one of their main people the other day on NSNO posted about why Everton didn't 'employ Amanda Staveley on a full time basis'.... completely unaware of the rediculous and backward nature of the comment.

when has kenwrights refusal to lower his price ever been an issue.

And who has said he has refused.

As for investment the club have just signed there record signing up to a new contract.

And the Jain.Qatari rumours are building rather than stopping.

In all the Bu are bolloxed

If there was genuine interest, surely we'd still be hearing updates as to how 'talks' are progressing? And perhaps we'd even hear of a bid being put in?

It just stinks of desperation that the club, like they did just before the first protest, have announced more 'interest' in us from investors. I'm not holding my breath on it.

    What updates do you expect.

Elstone has admitted that the club has signed confidentiality agreements.  The club aren't going to say more than that.

Most of the news has been leaked; and not by the club - by those whom it benefits. I suspect the club will have told those parties to button it until things have progressed.

I suspect the news was released to get the fans talking and hoping to put pressure on the board to sell up...

Just in terms of where they're up to with the talks, or if they've finished, whether or not the interested groups are going to put a bid in....... Surely something as big as this for the club should be worthy of weekly updates.

If they said they were "still talking" then the BU would be saying that this was simply to keep fans off their backs. I think you can safely say that if all interest has ended then we would know, if you know what I mean.

Just imo like, but if i were interested in buying and/or in the porcess of buying a football club, i personally wouldnt want to take over if there was a possibility one of its main assets could be leaving for next to nothing at somepoint in the next 18 months, surely any business man in his right mind would say we want him signing to a long term contract as part of any possible deal??

I'd be quite happy if they said they were still in talks...... I just think they should just come out and give a brief outline of where they're up to at the moment, without going into it too much.

There was a rumour that the royal family of Qatar have given up trying to buy man united and turned to other targets....Both blackburn and us were mentioned and the venky group, blackburns owners have stated that they do not wish to sell the club.

Are you saying that Everton board have, in a desperate bid to thwart a second protest from the might BU, succeeded in getting the indian owners of Blackburn to partake in a charade in front of BBC reporters all in the hope of convincing the british public at large that there is an investor interested in Everton?

Its a big busniess deal.... the government just announced that they've sold off the good bit of Northern Rock today....you had no idea that was going to be agreed today and you actually own some of that. ffs.

I said on here a very long time ago that if someone was genuinely interested in buying the club then those people would use whatever tools they had available to get the club - ie release news of their interest to the fans in order to get the fans on their side and pressure the incumbents to sell up...

If I was the BU I would seriously be making a noise about the club holding out for too much.  I think that is the tact that they now need to use.

So..... Are you saying that you think this is what has happened, and that we could now possibly on the verge of a deal?
