Can't think like that. It's the only good news we've had sign we got Drenthe on loan and that was on the back of selling Mikel Arteta.

No point selling him. The bank would of only demanded for most of it.

so by your rationale we should only sign players based on the fact of sell on value and not whether they are actually good enough or not. despite the fact that over the course of the 5 years its gonna cost us 18 mil in wages (based on a 70 grand a week wage)?...thats ridiculous IMO

Seriously doubt he's on 70 grand mate. We broke the salary cap for Arteta and he was only (use that word loosely) on £60,000

well again Sambo you are putting words in peoples mouths. Where have i said he `ISNT a good player`?
he`s an OK player in IMO. Is he worth the 15 mill we spent? No IMO. Is he going to take us forward? No IMO.
You can turn around and say. Well he didnt choose the price tag. Sure..he didnt but the fact stlll remains he did.
Can you honestly turn round to me and say he has been money well spent? Cmon..seriously.
im pretty sure he was bought as an attacking midfielder..where he just doesnt cut it. He plays OK as a defensive midfielder. i`l give you that. I would love to turn around at the end of the month and be proved wrong. and id be the first to say so but alas i cant see that happening.
I sometimes wish I could be more like the majority of people on here with such positive thinking about our players and the team but im a realist. there are a lot of players we have that i think are really good players but Fellaini isnt one of them.
I got caned on here once coz i gave my thoughts about Yakubu and that he just isnt any good. He pops up 10 minute later and scores. i got the `now whose got egg on their face` rubbish. Have those people turned around to me now and said ...`yeh actualy mate you were right`? course not. ....the reason Fellaini stayed is because I dont believe there were any other offers. if there had been he wouldve gone. its pretty simple. we arent an atrractive team right now

well mate, its your opinion, and i respect it, however, there were bigger clubs than us watching him and showing interest in fellaini, and if thats the case, i will take people's opinions that are in football, at obviously the highest level, over both your and my opinion as to whether he is a decent player or not.

yeh mate. and i respect your opinion to but `people's opinions` in football? this is the papers mate. its their job. and `interest`. whats that? what interest? youd be very naive to think that agents and the media dont work together to get the best deal for them. but like i said im in the minority here so what do i know
