A bit of good news and some people turn it into bad news, so what if he as tripled is wages at least he as signed only everton fans can do that. i say well done to keep him here

its a good and needed deal.... To be fair, he's been worth far more than we've been paying him thus far so I'm not at all bothered about the rumoured wage.

I think when he's on top of his game, he's easily our best player, and one of the best defensive midfielders in the prem, no one can get past him, he's like a rock. I think recently, his contract wonders, and the team underperforming as a general, has been making him underperform. However, now this is out the way, he should be full of beans again.

he's one of our key players, so this is great news........i was one of those who said he'd never re-sign, so am delighted to be wrong......i do wonder if there's a minimum release clause written into his contract though.....either way, this protects us from losing the player on the cheap, so its a great bit of business by the club....

if he`s our best player then there are dark times ahead. No one can get pat him????..well i think our league position proves otherwise. im disappointed he`s signed as probably his wages have skyrocketed and i dont think he`s worth it. Plus side..we wont lose him on the cheap but contracts dont mean much these days. If he wants to go next year then he will. im trying to look on the bright side in that we`ll geta decent fee if we sell but really i dont think he`s developed to the player we all thought he would.

    slightly disappointed.

But hopefully he will repay us with some decent performances starting tomorrow

So now that he has quadrupled his wages await the " there was never any doubt in my mind that I wanted to sign for Everton, I love wearing the blue shirt, greatest fans in the world etc. etc." announcement on the OS, reckon by three pm latest.

With respect m\ate, he said all these thing at the start of the season, and how he wants to stay, so if he does say these things now then he will be reiterating what he said before, unlike your Arteta's and Piennar, who also said similar things but left the club 1st chance they got.......Felli at least has signed, which shows he meant it.......
