i would leave it mate, its basically freeview with on demand tv, not worth the money and if your broadband speed drops in speed you cant access the on demand features, waste of money

I'm doing this in jan.....2 mobiles, land line, broard band and TV to see if we can get a decent deal.....there doesn't seem to be that much of a saving though really due to BT's line rental which seems to be an utter rip to me.

Anyone know of any good deals

To be honest, if you can afford it, pay up front for the year and you can get your line rental for the equivalent of £8 a month off BT.

I'm a telecoms engineer for a large, business sector telecoms company. The reason BT's line rental costs £12 a month (unless you pay up front) is because ADSL (broadband) is so cheap. It costs roughly £300 for an installation of a DSL line, now if BT are only charging you £20 a month, it's going to take around 18 months for them to even get any sort of profit, and even then, its about £10. That's also assuming you don't have a fault on the line. If you have a fault, and you're only on an 18 month contract, BT will actually lose money (all the other telecoms companies are the same, talktalk, sky etc).

That's the reason they charge the line rental they do, because as soon as you have a fault, they need to make sure their **** is covered.

tesco broadband are doing a deal for clubcard holders £11.75 for the phone and 4 quid for the broadband may be a pile of turds like but can't be any worse than the arl aol.

the telly on the other hand is a pisstake no decent deals knocking about on them at all bar the sport its repeat after repeat kind of makes the sky+ obsolete

Its a pain waiting for the contract to sort themselves out but then that won't happen once they are all on one.

virgin is what I've been looking at thus far, but that still looks **** to me....dread to say it but think going back to the ugly machine that is Bt might be the way forward

I've got BT Vision at home, its great. You can get Prem,FA Cup classics theres a few old everton games on there which is good and then they swap them over every so often. Also added Sky Sports 1 and 2 and ESPN so it's got pretty much everything on there. the only channel I miss is Sky One. But the on demand makes up for that :)
