I think he should have been benched all season.

Showing little interest on the pitch and won't be signing any new contract.

The boy wants away so why let him affect the team.

Barklay needs game time and this is the perfect opportunity.

Youthful exubberance at home in a must win game may be the factor thats been missing

Also leave Cahill at home for a week or twoto get his hunger back

Felli will replace Nev which isn't a bad thing.

Heitinga and Distin at the back.

play him if he can play off the shoulder forward then yes, his defensive abilities aren't to fab, but he can be a good target man and take the pressure off Sarah (etc etc).

This doesn't, personally I would like to see Felli, Rodwell and Barkley as the midfield trio with coleman and Drnethe on the wings, not sure which is the more attacking out of Rodders and Barkley but I would imagine Barkley, put him in the Cahill slot, Felli DM and Rodwel CM, young, exciting, full of potential with pace either side, then Saha or Straq to miss the chances and Vellios to come on and bury one with 5 minutes of game time left.

    Think coleman should be benched

Nah think he should be part of a team that has the awareness and ability to use him when appropriate rather than just mindlessly.
He should play when players like Barkley are playing because he will pick him out at more opportune moments than Jags does when he hoofs it... somewhere.. in the hope that Coleman can get to it.

Felli needs an attacking role, the target man and let ossman Rodwell sit in the middle, and Coleman and Dranethe on either side.

Felli is a great DM, any other position I would leave him out.

I think the formation will be vital. Felli as a DM, and up front in dead balls! (The usual thing hehe). Come, let's see Marouane eager to play with the blue lads.

DM really.. have you watched him.. the amount of free kick and yollows he picks up.. the amount of sloppy passes, no put him up top for the long ball Jags and Distan play, let sarah chase and pick up the 2nd ball.

Seen the yellows, not seen too many slopy passes, seen how many times he has broken up play, taken a ball down when surrounded by players, found some space and given it to one of ours that's in space, turned defence into attack. I've seen a lot more of that from him than the poor stuff. The lad is quality. Not even given away many free kicks this season.
Distin doesn't play many long balls either, watch the games again but look at these players, Distin goes on runs all the time and if there is a player short or medium range available he will try for them every time, its only when no one is about he will clear it away.Unlike Jags who will go for long ball first, if not will kick it out of play. Felli up front is a waste of the quality and calmness he has that is necessary in the DM role. I'd have him over JH, PN, JR or any other potential DM's in our team.
