Can we attract very good players?

Probably only on loan. If we buy an average player by the time he becomes decent ie Gravesen, Piennar, Rooney & Arteta - clubs like Real Madrid, Spurs,Man Utd & Arsenal come in and pick them up immdeiately. Ross Barkely will also be lost soon. Then what do we do spend 10m on Billy, 15m on Fellaini -they haven't really set the team on fire.
So every time we groom a brill player - he'll go, and everytime we find a decent player - they'll go as well - does this mean that Everton are just suppliers to the top teams and only a number to make up the 20 teams in the premier league??
I mean what are we now?? We can't live on the history of our past? I mean fighting for survival at the beginning of every season is pretty depressing now.
How do we see ourselves? How identifyable are we?
Personally l feel we need one very good (proven) striker and a creative midfielder and we turn things around.
Ps: providing we manage to hold onto them.

baines is a very good player , as is jagileka, felliani, saha, cahill, and weve got good players in disten, rodwell, drenthe to name a few we just need someone to get the best out of our average players, like osman, coleman, billy and someone to give the likes of barkley and vellios a little trust, just like moyes USE to do. hes getting less out of our good players and very good players and next to nothing out of our average players, will the real davie moyes please stand up.

I think we have some good players, but they are either not being played, being played out of position or under-performing. I think that Baines, Fellaini, Saha, Drenthe and Rodwell are all very good players, but I think that some of our better players are not being used correctly at the moment.

We're still attracting young people, so there's something there.
Velios, Strac, Drenthe, Coleman, ... , we're still attracting people.
I bet some of the money from Arteta sale will be used in the next window and you know it. That'll show how Everton is attractive.

I doubt any proven striker would sign for us. Regarding how attacking players are treated here.
