    in my experience the ones directly looking at the centre of liverpool don't.but posher parts eg elmsmere port and wallasey village yes i can understand how you see it as a camp scouse accent!

    not geographically. in terms of accents, it's like a watered down scouse accent you can still tell it's from merseyside though without doubt and bordering liverpool, but not quite there!
    I think that birko and seacombe is pretty much just a scouse accent, slightly weaker in some people. but is slightly stronger than bromborough. I can only really judge this because my family are from the birko area and I've got some family further out near bromsborough.
    It's so strange how the accent can change like that after travelling such a short distance. there's nowhere else in the country that I know of where it changes so much in areas so close together!

    edit:pretty hard not to miss it but the point is you'll notice birko accent is very scouse, imo. wallasey village and elmsmere port, camp scouse hahaha
