moyes has said that hes a bit lazy in training and is unsure if he will make it in the prem, about sums up moyes with strikers, unless there running around like headless chickens covering every blade of grass hes not happy, we could have bob latchford in his prime and he wouldnt get a look in under moyes because sticking the ball in the back of the net isnt what moyes wants from his strikers, hes happy with players like marcus bent " who do a job for the team" .a striker that fits into his precious 4-5-1 formation.

He played 10 mins, looked keen and set up a goal.

Clearly not what you want in a striker.....you would much rather have a striker who hasn't kicked a ball in a year and who's goal to game ratio for us is 1 in 10.....

    Moyes can **** right off.

Joint top scorer in the argentine league sounds good. Yakubu was lazy and scored goals.. I think the only think thats affecting him is the language barrier and in all fairness he did next to nothing in the carling cup game

    (my post from another thread)

Our striking options at the moment:
Saha - No one doubts he's talented but he's so inconsistent and injury prone
Vellios - Done Okay but he's still very young and learning the ropes
Stracqualursi - Argentinians bought from the Argentinian league have a habit of taking their time to settle in
Anichebe - He has the physical side of the game because he's strong and fast but he's not the most technically gifted and he'll never be a goal scorer
McFadden - Better out wide. Doesn't get enough goals to be a striker
    Cahill - Wasted upfront
Silva - Out on loan but we have no idea what he'd be like in the prem. But Benfica are rumoured to be interested in him

I don't think that anyone can have an opinion on Denis because he hasn't played enough. He has to be given a chance sooner or later, because Saha up front on his own isn't good enough.

I think this is Moyes's problem, he expects every striker he's got to cover a million yards every game. Not every striker is like that, and not every striker SHOULD be like that.

yakubu wasnt to bad when he first came he did get about the pitch a little more, when he came back from injury he just didnt seem to want to be a workhorse why moyes didnt want him and sold him.

But my point is that the only way a player can get match fit is by playing, the same goes for Denis.

To be fair, Moyes thinks Anichebe is good enough for the prem, so I question his judgement.... just sayin...

the lazy part came from straw himself

“I was a layabout and didn’t finish school. I didn’t want to work either. I helped my uncle once – he was a refrigerator fixer. I had to start at eight, but I used to arrive at 10.”

    and then moyes said

"He has a good goalscoring record in Argentina but I'm not sure yet, we'll find out in time," added Moyes.

we are now into november and he has barely featured. wuldnt surprise me if he sent him back and got someone else in on loan
