No playmaker

We don't have a player who looks for the ball and comes short to collect it. I know it's an obvious point but it's really starting to show. We need to invest in one in January but even a decent playmaker costs a fair few million and do Everton have the money to get one, even with the "chunk" of money from the Arteta sale.

I agree we have no playmaker but we also have absolutely no movement up front. Our midfielders get the ball and look up and see no movement from our forwards. I do agree though that we are missing someone like an Arteta when he was on form or a Tommy Gravesen.

we seem to have forgot to do the basics now...our basic play is poor..from defending ..to midfield play ..to attacking ....even our shooting is actually very poor nowadays....

Osman did really well at the end of last season but this season it's a very different story! Cahill is a decent link between midfield and attack but the attack in general looks so poor

Some strikers are designed to play upfront by themselves but Saha isn't one of them strikers.

Man Utd play one upfront but the different is their strikers getting more and better service.

You have to be good to play up front by yourself. You have to be a complete striker but I don't think Saha is good enough for that now. Saha could have maybe played up front on his own when he was younger but I don't think he can now.

Vellios and Stracqua and big enough to play upfront on their own as target men.

But he won't play them will he? He favours Saha, McFadden, Anichebe and even Cahill sometimes.

I Anichebe is definitely big enough and strong enough to be a target man but he's fecking useless!!!

few mins against Wigan and Chelsea. Made good tackles in both games maybe we should play him centre back.

You can't judge a player on 20 minutes Dan!

same as everyone else...he came on against wigan(?) for 10 mins got 1 flick on and people think he's ok...

he came on last week and tbh for me..his movement off the ball and working the channels, hold up play, first touch was poor...

I don't mind Stracqua man but tbh I couldn't less who plays upfront as long as they get us goals!
