Just a thought of how to get around DM wanting to play 5 in the midd and still have 2 up.
by letting baines and Coleman take the right and life side, old fashion fly-half's.

i feel, that since Pinnar has left Baines has just not been the same, he seems almost scared to push on or over lap.
As for the right side, Coleman is a rocket and should be able to do attacking duties as well as defending.
leaving Filli, Rodwell and Osman in the middle and Sarah and Vellios up top
Oh Jonny, Jags and Distan the back 3

while i like that formation or any fromation with two strikers, moyes hates playing 4-4-2 let alone 3-5-2 i think we would have to find a new manager coz moyes would die just trying to put players in the right places lol

Blitzer has hit the nailon the head here really.

The probs with Moyes is not only the formation but playing players out of position.

We have had our best DM playing Centre forward.

    CM, playing RW,LW

Drenthe our best LW playing RW

Hibbert playing at Rb when his best position is on the bench

Nev playing CM when he should be in a where's wally cartoon.

I've never seen this formation working for anyone which is the reason why "its a thing of the past now".

    And Milky....shurrup!

You complain about who plays at right back but you don't want either of our right back's on the pitch
If you watched EvertonTV, you'll have seen Drenthe say after the Fulham game that he prefers RW
We have very rarely had a CM at RW
We have had no fit and decent LW
We have rarely had Fellaini at CF

I think Drenthe has looked more effective cutting in from the right...

Whatever formation you line up with, its what you ask the players to do that matters most.  If you line up 4-4-2 but ask your left back to bomb on more then you might in fact be more of a 3-5-2...

Its the tactics and Moyes asks his forward players to do too much chasing including tracking back. He wants to attack as a team so he deploys one up top to win the ball and hold it up for support - in that sense it doesnt matter whether the player is a forward, he just needs to be able to win the ball. Its a nice team work ethic but it doesnt appreciate the talents of a true forward - that self centred eye for goal approach that all true great strikers have.

Having seen a brief cameo from Straq in the cup against WBA then I will tell you now he wont have a future at the club.  He is a proper striker - he's not looking to win the ball for the sake of it, he's looking to get through on goal, to turn players and that doesnt sit with Moyes' tactics, nor those of a lot of the fans who want people to put their head on the ball for the sake of it...

When a back four is leaking goals, not sure its best to take one away.

I think Baines has been just as good if not better since Pienaar has left. It's more Pienaar has been cack since he left Baines.

I wouldn't mind seeing us play 4-1-4-1 but we're on the ball to push the wingers forward making a 4-3-3. I think that would suit us with Coleman on one side and Drenthe on the other.

I also didn't mind us playing

    Beano Shurrup.

So far this season we have had Cahill,Osman, Arteta and Barklay all play LM they are all Cm

We need to convert coleman back to RB as neither nev or Hibbo are good enough.

Felli has played as CF as has Cahill whilst we have strikers on the bench.

    Moyes is **** end of
