The lack of Singhs to come

    Why are there pretty much sod all Asians in professional football?  Now excuse my ignorance of lower leagues and such, and excluding that guy that Souness singed for the Saints, but where are they?  I remember Leeds had an Asian sounding lad in the reserves in about CM03 but that's about it.

    Oh, actually I am amazed, it's only 4% South Asian, and astonishingly 2% black in population breakdown.  Is it just the midlands?  Leicester has a 30% Asian population, they can't all be rubbish at football can they?  Even Wigan produced... Danny Wilson?

    Me mates a sikh and was on Birmingham's books playin alongside Stan Lazaridis but he figured the odds were stacked against him... Used to play with him and his cousins who were all pretty good. One problem - they didnt go in for teamwork - very much into the individual expression of their arts....

    Been to see me nephew at the villa a few times and I dont recall having seen any asian kids there... If Brum aint gonna do it then hard to see who will.

    Erm, my life wasn't difficult because i didnt stand up for myself, my life was difficult because I ALWAYS stood up for myself. And some info for you, I'm a civil engineer, not a phone unlocker......what do you do?

    It doesn't matter if you attended my school or not, it's negative stereotypes and ignorant people I don't like. I'm not indian by the way, I'm mixed Malay, but I'm fairly certain there are a few Indians who do contribute to this economy......and your dole.

    Last i heard venkys that own blackburn had plans to get an indian player on the books...dunno if its true or not. I think the main reason is asian kids seem to be more into cricket than football!
