I would sell Cahill

Wont listen to any1 who knocks Cahill, some of you are ones who will say THE BIG MAN is a legend, but in comparison to Cahill he doesnt deserve the tag, Timmy does. Ive watched players at EFC for 40yrs, seen great legends, in particular my own fav Alan Ball, and he belongs alongside these players in what he has done for our club, the supporters and he has done more than them who own the club to keep the fans on board. No, just shut up and look at those who do deserve to be sold, Anichebe, Billy, Yobo, Yak, Mucha, enough there to make some money, not look at selling a LEGEND. How stupid can you get............

Tim Cahill alongside Alan Ball. Lmao. I'll have whatever Howie is smoking.

Cahill is not a legend, he has never won anything or achieved anything with us, he is not in the top 50 Everton players of all time, and is not even the best player we have currently, far from it in fact.

To say he is a legend is just SKY talk. He has been a good player for us while we have had no ambition. That is about the sum of it.

He has done well for us but I would sell him now if the a decent offer came along. I think he is past his best and he is nearly 32 now. But the main reason I would happily sell him is because he always goes off to play for his country and he seems to come back injured every time. Sometimes he goes to play for them in the middle of the season and he comes back injured, and we have to pay his wages while he is playing for Australia.

I also think that if Cahill was sold Moyes would play 4 4 2 more often, and I am sure we all agree that 4 4 2 is better than 4 5 1 with Cahill playing just off the striker. Cahill has done well for us and scored some crucial goals, but I don't think he is as important to
    us as he once was.

    Anyone agree?

Sell our top scorer from last season?

    get a grip

    Top scorer????

    Get a grip!!!!!

    Saha 10 goals

    Beckford 10 Goals

    Cahill 9 Goals

We couldn't score goals all season until Cahill want away and we started to play 4 4 2. We are much better without him, we score more when he is not playing. Cahill always plays for his country even in the middle of the season, even if they are only friendlies he goes and plays for them, and 9 times out of 10 he comes back injured, and we still have to pay his wages when he is playing for Australia.

He has done well for us but he is not as important as he once was.

i concur amigo, we seem to play around him when he is fit and available, and it makes us pretty 1 dimensional at times, im not doubting he gives his all, or he loves the club, but when he is in the team, we are very predictable imo, and we have to accommodate him....

This is another reason I prefer him not in the team, I agree we are too predictable. Maybe that is why we started to pick up more points when he wasn't playing.

Shut the f--- up all you Cahill hitters, your all talking ****. One look at the fact of how many times we win with him in the team and how many we lose without him, they are the facts. You cant look at 1 season that he was not only injured but was in the world cup. Name me one player who had a half decent season after playing in the world cup. If there was, it would be few and far between, and probably someone who was country was knocked out early stages. LEGEND, YOU'LL BE TALKING ABOUT HIM WHEN YOU ALL GROW UP, TO YOUR CHILDREN AND GRANDCHILDREN. So stop this Cahill bashing now, or im going to have you all wiped off the face of the earth.

Chill out gramps, nobody hates him, but he is getting into the twilight of his career and we do need to start looking at other options so we dont seem so predictable....we were better with him out of the team last year as blue11 says, the stats speak for themselves, im not knocking him as a person or for what he has done for the club over the years like :)

The stats LAST SEASON, show me them mate, then seeing as you have the stats show me them for his career. He will be even better this season, you see his goal and assist against Wales last week ??? Cahill back to his best mate, and dont give me it was only against Wales either, it was international football.
