Why does he spend most of the match either in the centre circle or on the wing? He moans when he doesn't get good service from the midfield but he makes absolutely no movement what so ever up front. A couple of times today Seamus came down the wing and when he looked up there was nobody in the middle, and our one and only striker was either on the wing or in the centre circle. It was like we were playing 4-6-0 again at times.

My son turned to me on the way out of the game and actually said, is there another striker anywhere who walks as much through a game as Saha does??

He may as well retire, because he doesn't look like he can play for 90 minutes. Either this or he is just very f*****g lazy!

Ever thought he is told to stay in opposing half and break up play between central defenders (like he does)?

Not sticking up for him at all, I'd love to see him gone personally, but just food for thought like.

Just look at what we brought off the bench! Barkley, just a kid. Gueye, decent but has got much premier league experience and same goes for Vellios.

Now look at Utd. Valencia - £16mil winger, Nani - an £18million winger who is on of utd's key players and they also brought on the premier leagues leading goalscorer for last season, Berbatov.

We were missing Drenthe, Distin and Cahill so our small squad just got a bit smaller and with the lads playing a demanding 2 hours of football against one of the top teams in the country midweek I'm sure tired minds started to creep in.

Maybe so, but the you have to ask why was Saha playing, or why wasn't he subbed sooner?

Saha is one of those players that can do nothing for 89 minutes and still get a goal.

Warrington Dan is correct. Saha carries a goal threat no matter what he does. He still has the required quality. If the alternative is Cahill on his own (and that is the only alterntative Moyes will consider) I'm happy for Louis to walk around a bit.

But Barkley came on and played well, as did Velios, so I'm not sure the point stands up?

Even with nani and valencia on I thought we created at least as much, if not more?

We had a few fluffed shots but hey...

just watched the game, i dont think saha deserves the slack he is getting! Its a massive ask to put saha up against man u's back 4 on his own. He and velios could make a fantastic partnership with both being able to hold the ball up, velios keeps the centre backs honest and busy which could saha room to make runs and show his class. hoping we adopt this approach against newcastle and we can get a decent unbeaten run happening!

I really think vellios should be playing more, i would like to see saha and vellios start upfront together, even if it is just for a few matches just to see how it works, there is no harm in trying it.
