this was our only chance of getting silverware, and the team that beat us will be one of 3 that will win it. i have said this many times footy, now, is a waste of time for teams like ours.we have no chance of getting into euro footy, so cant see any point in watching live games. i reckon attendances will drop like a lead balloon. and not just at goodison.prem games have reported 20% drop on last season while non league games have gone up 17%. i love this club with all my heart and blue blood but the money has gone haywire to pathetic levels. players on a million a month is just plain bonkers. i wont be surprised that a chairman from a prem team will say to his manager "lets get relegated" from this poinless league. david moyes has done wonders with no money. but i hope in a short time i can look forward to going to goodison with my family, but until the money thing goes away, or we get an investor we wont be going. iam a true blue but i cant afford £275 for each game in our state. p.s everton supporters are the best ever and we have had great times at goodison. cant wait for the UTD game, but in our local on tv. shame. ben.

Agree with some of your points mate and your heart's in the right place but:

    1. We have the FA Cup yet? so it's not our only chance of silverwear gone or our only chance of Euro footy
    2. What are you basing the motivation to tell your manager to get relegated on purpose on? there's more money in the prem (TV, Sponsorship, fanbase etc), attendances would drop even further, the clubs profile would drop further.
    3. my understanding is that grass roots footy is getting more attendance because people are feeling the pinch of the recession and redundancies so cant afford to go to the matches, rather than because we dont think we will win anything.

hello! the fa cup is bound to manchester or london, how can any team compete with the fire power of the mancs? i dont want to see everton go down of course not, but lower league footy can be just as exciting as the prem- ask any brum fan. but your last comment on people being able to afford games is spot on, but many fans are just fed up with crazy money in the prem, most teams cant afford to pay the players wages, let alone to run a business, relegation is cheaper!
