Both teams did changes. It was a good performance except for Mucha. Fair play you could moan at 1 or 2 other players but we still could and maybe should of won it in the 90 minutes.

moyes says his one regret is not getting to the later stages in this cup, well im sorry but what you expect, he gives drenthe some stick for stupid sending off , but we had long enough vs 10 men, why rest howard you need to keep your best players in key positions and he puts a load of crap in goal, infact he was garbage for the second goal as well, why not bring coleman on for the injured neville and be a little more positive, were was barkley and vellios? sorry but reason we get knowere in this cup is because of moyes, vellios should of been on not denis and barkley should of been in for cahill whos pretty much inefective now. was stupid sending off for drenthe but for moyes to blame him when we had long enough versus a weak 10 man chelsea. weve been pretty garbage all season.

I was happy to see Stracqualursi, he needs games. As for Barkley he's had more then his fair share of injuries by the age of 17 so there's no point giving him too many demanding games. It would do him no favours

yeah sounded like straccy had a good game ish part from that header. and saha playing good for 120 mins i cant complain, well if we had howard in they wudnt have got 1 goal in, so i guess we can put this down to bad selection by moyes, good otherwise mayb not started cahill but knowin moyes he wuda jus put felli der anyway. seems cahill n nev mite miss the man u game (drenthe obv will) so were does that leave us cant see saha startin (he shud tho)
    howard
    hibbo,jags,distin,baines
coleman, rodders, felli,i think billy shud get a go sounded like he played good 2nd half
    osman
vellios? (or saha aswell maybe bring straccy on he played well enough to get a cameo apearance atleast)

With "fans" like you, it doesn't matter that Moyes does, you'll always find an excuse to moan at something.
People keep saying Denis should play, why loan him if we don't play him - Moyes brings him on, and people moan.
Vellios might have been carrying an injury? Do you know the full story?
He needs to give some of the fringe players a game (including the goalkeeper), unless you want him to do it in a PL game?
Mucha is an international goalkeeper, yes he made 2 mistakes (and a couple of saves). So has Howard this season. Remember the flap at Blackburn last year? Or the flap at the freekick in the previous Chelsea game?

From the highlights i saw, first half was all Chelsea, 2nd half we gave them a drubbing (thats what it looked like, and the commentators said so too). Great double save from Cech at the penalty.
They may have dropped their main players, but most of the ones on last night were still Internationals.

It was a good effort (2nd half at least), and on another night, we could have stuck 3 or 4 past them

yeah saha looked on fire, im glad he brought dennis on. vellios mite be gettin saved for man u, we already had our main striker play 120 mins the good thing tho he still looked up for it the whole match, maybe we will see the king return, but tbh i would rather of played hanneman hes looked a beast in the reserves game sum top notch saves

how much luck do you want.

they make 11 changes from the weekend and dont even start torres.  they have mata, lampard and sturridge starting on the bench.

turnbull gets sent off wasnt even a red.  they miss a penalty.  and home advantage

FFS if you cant win a game in those circumstances when are you going to win one.

And why the *** was everyone cheering drenthe, he was the reason we lost the game and now he is out to face united.

The whole "11 changes and they didn't have Torres,Mata etc" comment......Thats what 300million or whatever Chelsea have spent over the last few years gets you.

    Get over it

I agree it was wrong playiung mucha but if we had won yesterday it'd be a different story. The fact is we had poor spells and good spells. At one point we looked almost unstoppable and had chance after chance after chance. Stracqu's header, royston's shot, his free kick and a few close calls with saha. even hibbert had a shot and the gwladys rocked "if hibbert scores we're on the pi$$!"
but seriouslythat's the difference between our attitudes if we win or lose. If we had won it'd all be "moyes got it right" etc. . IMO Although late he made the subs when we needed them. Coleman assisted saha and brought new energy to the right wing.
and neville was just shocking I'd take anybody over him.
Drenthe was unbelievable last night too, can't believe moyes is giving him stick for the sending off when you take into consideration that he ran the show. if it wasnt for him I doubt we would have had many shots or help going forward.

Stop bloody moaning about the tactics the lot of you pi$$ing me off know! the fact is moyes picks the side nobody else and if it had gone a different way we would have won and it'd all be "moyes got it right and redeemed himself" so get to GP on saturday and cheer on the blues you negative beauts

we should of won it.  it was a weakened chelsea team and they were down to 10men what else can you ask for.  throw in a penalty aswell.

I think it's a bit rich complaining about selecting Mucha today with the benefit of hindsight....nobody was complaining about it yesterday...and we knew Mucha would start - cos he's started every Carling Cup game since we got him!!

    exactly Beano.
If he had played a blinder last night, people would be calling for Howard to be dropped.
Just the the fickle nature of some fans. Hell, i've called for a players head before only to see them score or play well for the rest of the game.

Oh and go crawl back to the RS forums Tickets mate. About time you started another Fellaini contract thread isn't it?
