Anyone able to advise on what phone to get?

I'm on orange (which I'm not happy with) and eligible for most phones on free upgrade.

What do I go for Iphone 4S, Galaxy Sii, Blackberry or summit else?

There's a thread on the Iphone v the S2 and I don't think there is much in it to be honest.. Personally I got the S2 and I love it.. Screen on it blows the Iphone out of the water but the new Iphone's spec is a bit better and its voice recognition is very good.
Personally since the Galaxy S2 was the rival for the standard Iphone 4, the new one coming out will be massively better again and will be worth holding out for if you can.
There are only those two really quality ones at the moment but a few very tasty ones on the immediate horizon.
Guess it depends on what you want it for.

Dont need voice recognition. Really only need something that is good for making calls and sending emails...

Yer know, a phone rather than a mini computer...

Just get an Iphone. Anything else and you'll wish you'd got the iphone. Blackberry was awful, daughters S2 is not as good as my Iphone 4.

    Thanks lads

Also, is it worth moving over to 02 or Vodafone - I've found orange's reception along the M6 between Liverpool and Birmingham to be particularly shee-ite?

    Android - S2
    IOS - Iphone 4s

IOS is smoother but runs through Itunes and is very apple orientated
Android is not quite as slick but is more open to talking to your PC and other phones
Both dual core machines and there is nothing out there that will test the abilities of these two, Iphone is quicker but I have yet to wait for anything on my S2.
If you use other apple products like a mac or Ipad get the Iphone, if you use a PC or want to plug in and copy files get the S2. That's how I see it anyway.

ps if you do go for the Iphone don't get the normal Iphone4, make sure its the s version, the previous one is a single core pile of poo that has been overtaken by most modern phones.

My reasearch is fine, didn't say you couldn't do it, I said it runs through Itunes, you can get around this by using 3rd person software but that defeats half the point of the Iphone so why bother?
I spent ages deciding what phone I want and got the best out there for what I wanted, I certainly wouldn't swap it for an Iphone.
Strikes me as the argument between Mac and PC has just moved to a smaller screen these days.
OGV any phone these days will do what you need, if your not using the advanced features your better off going for a lesser phone than either of these on a cheaper contract.
