Got all my bets done for the weekend so I don't have to spend tomorrow morning down at the bookies putting these on. One of these bets is worth a helluva lot of money as well, and if it wasn't worth as much as it was, I'd be more confident!

It's on the Racing Post website, what a bloody farce! I was thinking of going myself but decided against it in the end. I'll probably regret that because I know Aintree's a great day out, National or not.

I've heard bookies have stopped taking bets on Everton playing a negative formation with a negative brand of football to follow.

I did MM because at the time I checked, there were eight runners so thought it might have a chance of not being odds-on, I came back from the bookies and the field had been slashed to three! So as you say, MM's gonna be well and truly odds on. Just as well I've not had a bet on Black Caviar running in Australia tomorrow morning, the current price for the is 1-20..... With the second favourite, Scenic Blast which has ran a couple of times here, being 20-1! If there were more than five in the race, I'd have been tempted to have a go on SB each way.

never done an e/w first goal scorer thing may be sounding thick here but does he have to score first or second to be in with a shou?

No, this is why I like the FG Lucky 15, he has to score in the first five goals, and obviously you're more likely to get prices which are worth doing each way. The prices I've got for those four players are 6-1 (Kuyt and Klasnic) and 7-1 (Long and Lovenkrands) so in that sense I think the FG Lucky 15s are the best ones to do.

Oh, I forgot to say, if anyone's awake at 5.20 tomorrow morning, put At The Races on and watch Black Caviar go for its 15th win.

Until someone sends me an official document telling me what I have to put that money towards, I'll spend it how I see fit. And just to satisfy you, I do pay rent (accommodation and food) and I do buy clothes when I need them.

Andy, just spoke to the DHSS, letter in the post, if you don't have it by Monday let me know and I will chase it up for you, in the meantime no more bets or booze and don't think you can just go ahead and book your Xmas hols in Australia before Monday because the order is retroactive as of today's date.
