    I like him.

He's Scottish, he's free and he shoots from anywhere like he's the real life embodiment of Roy of the Rovers and he's free.

    Whats not to like?

He's slow has a record of 1 goal in 10 appearances and failed in his first spell where he was unable toholddown a regular first team place.

His arrival will only hamper the younger and hungrier talent we have.

    And he's scottish

I think he's good to have around the younger talent as he believes in himself, takes people on, does the unexpected and gets his shot off... the latter being something we are very much in need of.

He does all of that despite his lack of pace and he often makes the wrong decisions which drives Moyes mad. Perversely, I think Barkley can learn a lot from watching the Moyes Mcfadden show unfold as he appears to think he can take on the world at times too.

And he's free and generally being Scottish is a good thing and if you disagree with that then on the whole you make the world a poorer place to live in. Bunter made that last point a long while ago and I think it should now be regarded as fact.

Can't understand why people on here are getting their knickers in a twist about signing McFadden, the amount of negativity on here the lad might as well not bother turning up, he has been condemned before he even pulls a shirt on.FFS I distinctly recall some moaners on here, including Milky, when we sold him !

Milky, you know very well that I am never wrong ! I distinctly recall your having your usual venomous dig at Moyes for selling McFadden as I am sure will many others, if only we still had the search facility !

thats funny 3 days ago when he was on his way to celtic you said this.

The one against Charlton was absolutely stunning.

I'm really pleased for him if he goes to Celtic. Few would want to pay for him with his injury record, but he'll move back home, play in big games and scored fantastic and important goals again.

Best place for him really, he's just not good enough to be the player he needs to be in the prem. Up there though, he'll be a decent size fish again.

Just when people think you've made a complete and utter **** of yourself tickets you come out and post something even more stupid.

I've not changed my tune about him at all and I stand by every word of that.

He will be a bit part player. As posted elsewhere he will have an impact off the bench for us.

I still think he should have gone to celtic...to be fair I expect he will at the end of this season and having got a couple of games for us will do his wages demands up there no harm at all.

He needs to be the roy of the rovers type of player...beating people and scoring goals and starting games. He won't get that here... but that doesn't mean I'm going to slate the player?

Tickets, you really are a very sad person... go back to posting about fellains contract.

Just more bullets for the negertonians to fire !! who for their own sad reasons think he will just walk back into the first team !!

however he is an international with premier league experience, a 10% goal/game ratio scoring rate, and as a bit part player will offer some experience when the team need it most...

i liked him when we had him last time and was one of the people "against" selling him...

the lads had an awful injury record over the last 18 months and i say well done everton for giving him a lifeline....
