baines vs cole defensively

    just so people know. baines...not great at defending...cole not great at defending but baines is the better defensive player!!

    Baines has not been too good defensively this season due to having no help in front of him. Whoever has played in front of him just doesnt protect him as much as Pienaar did.
    Moyes needs to settle on Drenthe as the man for that position, that way they can develop an understanding and hopefully his defensive duties will then improve.

    Baines every time.

    Cole is an overrated phillandering (if that is how you spell it) pratt.

    How he gets a game for ingerlund amazes me,

    baines is pishhhhhhhhhh poor at the back how many times does somebody get in front of him, dont give a fk whos on left with him, his job is to defend and he does it so badly 2 goals were because hes poor

    I honestly believe that Baines is at least on par with Ashley Cole, and I believe that Cole is overrated and Baines is very underrated. I can't understand how people can have a go at Baines as he is by far our best player now, and he scored or created about half of our goals last season. Its not often at all that he makes costly mistakes, and yesterday and the derby are the only times I can remember him making any. Jags has made many more mistakes than Baines has and ask yourselves now, how many times do we say that Baines has made a mistake that have proved costly?
