Last season we had the best run without Cahill.
I think he is a good player, but dont fit in in our lineup.
Best run with Cahill is when he is the striker in 4-5-1, with all our strikers injured.

Btw, as i said in early september, bottom 3 in end of october.

hasnt scored in 2011.  Nuff said.

why he starts when we are desperately in need of goals is beyond me.

His attributes as a player have been questioned before when he doesent produce the goals.

no Howie we want a performance , and the odd goal , yes he has been a legend and yes he has been Mr. Everton but at the moment he isnt producing so why should he get a shirt if he isnt producing , Velios has produced and even if he doesnt score he is setting up chances my view is cahill benched and give velios a run

Not just Cahill, but Jags, Osman and Sicknote......They are all off their game and can all be replaced with fresh faces..

jagielka has said in the press he is not performing so if he feels that strongly to say it in public then surley the management should be looking to do something , saha should give in gracefully , osman im 50/50 on

dont need to manage a team to spot bad play.  cahill cant score and gives no spark to the offense since he came back from injury.  Coleman I like because of his energy, but he makes too many unforced errors.  osman has the same problem.  saha is lazy and out of position.  jags is good for 2-3 major blunders every week.

and zagan was spot on with his list.

OH sorry mate i assumed there, so Vellios and who then??
As for Cahill, its simple cant see anyone else that CAN do his job, even if as you say he's so poor. IMO up to the L'pool game he was our most consistant player this season, but as i said thats my opinion, i accept its not everyones.

I believe Cahill still has a lot to offer and I think he was screwed over today because every time he won a header there was no Everton player within a 20 yard radius. In other words he was p|ssing against the wind

i havent said we should drop cahill altogether i do think he has something to offer but not as a starter , he has the ability to lift us and can get us a goal because i think that as a defender when you have played against somebody like velios who will play on the shoulder of the defender and make runs in to the box and run at you all game the last thing you want is a player like cahill coming on who will beat you in the air more often than not and give you a different problem , if moyes persists in playing 1 striker i think velios can do that , but warrington dan is right if any player is winning headers we have to get players close to them and today up until the 80th minute we went through the motions to much and gave the ball away too much and an inactive management didnt help

am with you here mate. i think cahill is such an influential player in the team, but goes about it quietly. and if anyone says barkley should play in his place...HE IS TOO YOUNG!!!
