October 2011 I have enormous respect for what DM is achieving at Everton, but I can't believe that he supports a shorter ban because Rooney's a "special" player who England need to be playing. I thought he had a better sense of what's important in the game. Rooney had not one, but two, hacks at his opponent which merits the max ban possible. What message is DM sending out to youngsters about values by his implication that better players should have special treatment.
