Escla, a question for you - If there was no such thing as a Media Studies Degree, or a Journalism Degree, where would you get your news from? Believe it or not, even some of your beloved Daily Mail Journalists will have done a degree in one of those two. The Journalism/Media degrees may not be held in as high regard as a Science/Maths/English degree, but they are equally as important for those looking for work in the MEDIA/JOURNALISM sector. It is just very unfortunate that at the moment, there are very few jobs going, certainly in the Journalism sector.And I can also tell you this - The Journalism degree isn't just a walk in the park either!! -

I dont know a great deal about politics tbh, but, wasn't the country in a right mess in the late 1980's and early nineties when the conservatives were in power??
There has been peaks and troughs, highs and lows all the way though history, its impossible for it to be boom all the time, and its impossible for it to be bust all the time. No political party will EVER be able to find a happy medium and neither will any political party be able to keep everyone happy all the time, its an impossibility. I have no allegiance to any one party at all, because who is ever in power, in somebodies eyes they will not be getting things right because you CANNOT please everyone.......
