Just started this today, really impressed so far. It seems theres a lot of improvement in a few areas such as team talks, squad reports and tactics selection.

Everotn start with a 2 million budget, Drenthes scored 2 and set up 4 in 2 preseason games, Straq and Vellios look decent, and Barkley's got some great stats on him

I downloaded it off Steam, only took about 15 minutes.

If you don't use steam, I'd recommend trying the Sports Interactive website

Been put off playing football manager since the 09 version where my players would just get injured constantly. I'm told that it was a glitch in the game but since then I've never bought it again after playing it for years before.

The recent ones have been really really good, plus if you've been playing as Everton its hardly been a glitch!!

I've just had worst case scenario for Everton, Baines broken leg out for 6 - 7 months. gonna have to move Drenthe, whos been amazing at left wing back as cover

Downloaded this yesterday - I''ve played all the footy man since their start all those years ago.  Find them a bit boring now.

bit too much detail on these games for me - over complicated for me head...

Can you enjoy the game without having to go through all the bother of setting individual training programmes?

You can,  however I'm competitive and if individual training gives you an advantage you've got to do it.

You could do very well by playing in the most simplistic way, buy the best players, use the preset tactics and training regimes. (The Real Madrid way) You could very easily win everything like this

But if you want to buy young wonderkids and make them progress on to a superstar, you'll have to get down to micromanagement, making sure you've decent funds for youth coaching, getting the best facilities, best youth coaches, developing the player correctly ie training in the right areas, learning the right moves, tutoring loans etc (the Everton way :) )

    I've started with

    ----------------Saha
    drenthe-----Cahill------Barkley
    ----------------------Rodwell
    -----------Fellaini
    Baines---Jags----Johnny----Neville    (colemans injured)
    ---------------Howard

Had a pretty sucessful preseason, Drenthe has been a monster. It was going so well until Baines broke his leg. Even hibbert scored on his final appearance before being loaned to Newcastle who are paying £3.5 million at the end of the season

Everyone seems addicted to this game - I may have to start playing it myself, just never got round to it but now I'm not at College or Uni, I've too much time on my hands at the moment.....
