Man City aren't doing that bad are they? But I agree that there is too many foreign managers in the English game.

Hawwy is waitin for the England job, so that'll be his after the euros.  Then spurs will come in for Moyes.

It's gonna be funny when Twitchy is the England boss,

Moyes will be interested in some obscure Bolivian centre-half one week and Twitchy will have him in his England squad the week after!!!

Something that's confused me re: England managers/coaches. Capello and Eriksson are two of the most unpopular choices we've had for coaches because they weren't English, yet they've been more successful than some of the more recent English managers: McLaren, Keegan, Venables (I know 1996 so not THAT recent)..... And in fact, Capello has been our MOST successful manager, in terms of win ratio, maybe Alf Ramsey is the most successful manager in terms of the fact that he won the World Cup and was around a lot longer, but despite being the most successful manager since, people are STILL not happy with Capello.

I know this thread isn't to do with England managers but as it was on the subject of foreign managers, I just thought I'd raise it, especially as I was thinking about this just yesterday.

I've said this a couple of times Andy and you still get people saying he doesnt know what he is doing....the problem with the England team is that the fans gauge success on how far we get in the major tournaments......even though the stats say he is our best manager, he''s still rubbish.....lose/lose situation....!

As I say, I'm absolutely convinced it's because he's a foreigner! I'm not into International football, although I do follow it a bit, more so to see how the Everton lads are doing, but this is one gripe I do have. Look at the Republic of Ireland, they've been a poor side until they brought in Trapattoni, and they've turned into a half decent side now.

Of course, you could also turn it around and say well look at Scotland and Wales, they've got Scottish and Welsh managers and they've improved a lot, which is true, but the facts are there for all to see. Going English doesn't always work.

Now, because I don't follow International football and certainly don't follow England, just Baines and Jags, I hope that when Capello does go, I hope Redknapp comes in and has a disastrous spell as coach, mainly because I don't like him, but those who have been calling for him to take over will hopefully shut up too!
