how can I apply for a mod position?

    I've decided I want to be a mod. this site needs cleansing and I think people are getting away with too much  without the necessary punishments deserved eg offensive posts, rude posts and pictures. I won't name them the culprits but I'm sure they know who they are.
    Anyway does anyone know how I can apply for a mod position? thanks

    email Mark Rowan and call him a online marketing genius and add that you'd like to be a moderator as you feel it is very important to have yourself CRB checked very quickly.

    To be fair, I think we'd all feel better if that last point was addressed.

    I tried, went through all the effort of a CRB check, drove up to Goodison with Milky and Russel to get there early, signed a form they sent me and they never got back to me.
    Sent them an email recently which was read and ignored... combined with being kicked off of another forum for no reason and no explanation I am starting to get an e-complex here.

    "Haven't got a chance" is being a bit too nice if you ask me. No hope in hell imo.
    Only want's a Mod job so he can get the banning stick out and ban everyone who laughs at his post's....

    I've been asked a few times but have always turned it down. Its an impossible job, but worse than that its made impossible by the webteam and ripple effect.

    Fair enough, Milky and co have tried to do good things. As many others have tried in the past.

    But actually, even though no one is ever listened to, the reality is that if you were listened too and they did actually follow it up then you'd be really annoyed.

    Because as and when ripple effect want a new contract, a whole website revamp will be sold to the webteam and the forum along with any changes your had made (at the 98th time of asking) will be thrown in the bin and some other embarrassing pile of garbage will be put up in its place.


    Its Evertons way to be honest, the only money we have goes on Moyes and the players. Practically everyone else at the club is a monkey stuffing their face with peanuts.

    I don't think you should tell them your opinion if you do go for mod.

    I've told them my opinion many times and have no interest in moderating.

    One of their main points (entertainingly) though is that this place is rubbish because there isn't enough people to moderate it and that that is the key issue with the forum.




    Seriously, if anyone wants to be a moderator.... for reasons that are good, bad or even just for the comedy value of banning people you don't like, etc, then do this:


    Write a short, but detailed, request as to why you want to be a moderator. Mention the following or extra points about how you:

    • Like fans from 'other clubs' coming on the blue room for the 'banter'
    • Dislike arguments descending into foul mouthed abuse
    • See the forum as being child safe place for young evertonians across the world to learn about Everton.


    Then email it to this guy: matthew.gamble@evertonfc.com

    I have asked to be a mod before and not heard anything back!  

    I think it was because im Welsh and that I am white, If i was English and Black i would be in.

    I am the main man on the forum, the hardest guy around.....  Plus i speak 2 languages, main one is Welsh and the other is Cambodian.

    Its not a Welsh thing I'm english mate and they stopped responding to me too.

    Resources are stretched - Improvement are being made, it just takes a while to implement them due to the forum being linked to the main site.

    The fact you wish to be a mod automatically disqualifies you from ever being considered. Also you are displaying tittish tendencies....

    Well!  That told him.......  I think TDK is a bit misunderstood...  He isnt all bad, just young.... Think he could be good for the forum like lid..  Not as mod tho, he needs to get in with the big guns first...
