only stupid poor people and rich people have sky. which one are you?
I'd class myself as a sensible middle man- don't need to watch all of sky and sky sports just everton, I mean i couldn't afford my season ticket and have sky as well. yup its usually two pints a game at 3 quid in the pub for me.

Whats the point here lid?? Perhaps some of us have interest in more than just one sport, so have sky for that reason??

well if you're not rich then continue to spend 600 quid a year on your ar$e watching sh.it tele!!! have you got a season ticket as well? If you have one or the other in that price range like me ,something nice to spend on, then you can afford it. if you're not rich then IMO true evertonians within a reasonable distance to Gp would choose the season ticket over sky.
if you have both or more luxuries in that price range then blimey, bankruptcy here you come!

I've got a season ticket, yer nit, i've had one since i was 5.

Just because you can't afford both does not give you the right to judge those who can.

just trying to make people think  about their finances! i know a few people family friends ect who werent all that rich and they had subscription based payments like sky, season tickets, holidays to spain every year, gym memberships ect. in recent years though they've all had to cut back somewhere cos they simply can't afford it, or they can afford it but it's causing damage to the bank balance and money's low for other things.
all im trying to say to everyone is this- if your not mega rich think about getting sky if you're buying other luxuries as well, is it a necessity or a luxury? can you genuinely afford it, if you have other large payments? and compared to other luxuries is it value for money??
    that is all.

a pub  is just a common place to socialise and it would therefore be easier to talk about this there than over the internet.
and yes booze is cheaper at the offy like but its less convenient having to go to one, come back home, wait for it to chill in the fridge and inviting people around. it  can be a bit boring too , it's nice to have a change of scenary like.

So it's ok for you to go the boozer with the lids and splash the cash but i'm "stupid" cos i have a sky subsciption.

    Is that correct?

    no
    .
my original comment about the pub was to emphasise a common place for social communication-it's easier to talk about this topic there than over the intnernet.
i'd prefer to go to the pub more but of course occasionally have to drink offy booze for pre drinking otherwise id get into debt like
wouldnt say your stupid for having sky just trying to ask other ppl if its value for money in times of tough economic climate. your a tw@ for calling me a pikey tho.

well 6 quid a game in the pub * games a year in pub approx 7=
6*7=42 pounds roughly a year on everton in the pub. see thats reasonable expenditure doesnt go over the top, plus i try and cut back on other things eg dont have gym and ps3 stuff ect ect.
unlike you with your 600 quid a year HD sky and your 600 pound season tticket ( i got under 21 concession and early bird at only 293 for this season :)) and your five pints of chang before each match and your mcdonalds every night ya fat barrstard.
and btw i dont think a pikey cud afford a season ticket nowadays, do you????
