all managers have done interviews during pre-season either on transfers or pre-season results.

moyes hasn't said a word all summer

We've had no transfers to comment on, and I think he spoke to ITV4 before the Villareal game.

However, it's not a good sign, but I imagine if we'd sold some players then bought some we'd have heard from him.

If he just came out and did a "There's things we're working on. Watch this space... We're signing Riquelme..." then nothing comes to fruition, then he'd be castigated by some fans a la Bill

It could be a deliberate ploy:
Nothing is happening at this club...we can't buy players and we can't sell players.
There has, literally, been nothing going on here since May last.
His silence on this issue,in my opinion, simply highlights it and possibly distances himself from it.
Meanwhile...for those who pine after "news",the players thoughts on the o/s should be a comfort....this is so fooking slow to respond....

Perhaps Moyes is staying out of the limelight on purpose. Last season there was so much hype about it being our best squad and it being our year and look at the awful start we had. Maybe he figures if he keeps quiet we can fly under the radar for awhile and the players will have less pressure heaped on their shoulders.

Moyes' assistant manager does, and always has, act as manager to the press for pre-season and Carling Cup games.

Nothing to see here....move along now!
