Posts: 3,106October 2011 No consolation at all...the fact the FA can rescind the red card, and not acknowledge how flawed the refereeing system in football is, sums up the sport........No lesson learned, not desire to learn a lesson…just keep going with the ways things are, and F**k the loyal fans who make them all rich……
By the way (and off topic), I had little respect for Kenny Dalglish before Saturday…I absolutely hate him now……2 weeks ago he had a pissy fit about the refereeing standards, and then when he had a chance to make a real condemning statement on Saturday, he claimed to have not seen the Rodwell challenge

Posts: 1October 2011 Justice has been done in rescinding Jack Rodwell’s red card, but surely the FA should go further. Suarez should be punished for play acting as video’s of the incident clearly show contact was made between Rodwell’s knee and Suarez’s foot, which resulted in Suarez acting like he’d been shot by a sniper! The result of the game should also be taken back to the point of the red card and points awarded for a 0 – 0 draw. With 2 goals deducted from Everton’s ‘Against’ total and Liverpool’s ‘For’ total.

Posts: 42October 2011 Greetings from Canada to all, I have been an Everton fan for quite some time now, and only now have I decided to join this most interesting forum. I love this team and I really hope as a fan of it we can experience a cup in the near future... I`ve been reading these forums over the last few years and finally wanted to make my sentiment heard. I know my football knowledge won`t be as fine tuned as most of you but I admit this will be a learning curve.
On to the topic then, Rodwell was in my opinion a victim of a rookie stereotype. The ref automatically decided to give him the red card for no sane reason but because Suarez won an acadamie award nomination and that Jack is a rookie... The reversal is good news for us but the points and pride we lost are not reversable... -
