Agreed blueray, its very sad these days that that the police have to ask fans to behave before a derby game and what some so called supporters did throwing bottles and coins should be identified and banned, idiots.

Exactly, its about merseyside pride, we're one of the few derbies that have both teams sat together.

its not just the derby, it seems there is hate with venom towards away teams fans in general , everybody wants to win and to have rivalry is great and for that 90 mins you would have banter and wind up your best mate if he or she supported a rival club but these fools are nasty, venemous and very dangerous to football and need a reality check.

can live with themerseypride thing..however it becomes difficlut to accept, when you dont live in lpool and you have to take abuse of "lpool fans" who dont even know where liverpool the city ..actually is ...!!

most of them only support them because at the time they were winning and just as these days for some treason the media love them (i do have a theory as to why that is) which in my opinion is a crap reason to support a club , especially when their local club needed their support

I'm about as nasty, venemous and dangerous as being bitten by a daffodil and would (and do) gladly sit next to mates (home and away) from other clubs and have friends and relatives who support the scum and can share the banter most of the time but sit next to them for the derby ???? not a chance

Mersey pride is right. Gramps is right. The old days WERE better. To express hate and venom in the way things are done today is not right. Even if many people do it. It is sports, football. Not war.
