Right, yestersay obvoiusly is all gonna be about the ref and jacks card, but moyes pointed it out when he said borth goals where poor defensivly, for me jags needs to go in jan, he literally is a liability he has been awfull all season and most last,  thats the second or third pen hes give away already this season, same for distin i love this guy think hes a class act, but his OFTEN moment of madness cost us goals all the time. time for a change

So, its two new central defenders that we need; rather than a striker?

jags will get back to form, disten has been very good, but i think heitenga deserves his chance, him and disten had a very good partnership when jags was injured, we dont need much, we got 3 strikers who can do a job, problem is moyes wont play them, vellios deserves a run of games before january as does denis before we go buying another striker, the answer may be there.

Mistakes were inevitable after playing for 70 minutes in that heat with only 10 men. The only way they were going to get a goal was going to be a screamer, or a mistake. They really didn't look like breaking us down until that first goal, and that was due to us pushing on looking for a goal ourselves. Considering it was 10 vs 12, it seemed a very even contest

From the cup games, I think Moyes is lining up Jags and Johnny for the future.

As to the forwards - we have a crock; a loan signing; and a kid (a good one but a kid nonetheless).

no doubt we need a striker, but IMO our defense situation is alot more important than our striking, no neccaserly going out and buying two CB's but sorting the ones out we have now and getting them backn to form, i accept the odd mistake but the amount these two make is embarrising

So having to cover extra ground due to being a man down, on one of the hottest day of the year isn't going to drain the players physically and mentally thus making errors more likely?

I think our play in the final third has been shocking this year. Its like we hit a wall once we get there.

We need to hit teams a bit faster than we are.

It doesnt help when you play one up front because you're having to wait for players to catch up from midfield.

With Jack and Felli we've been sitting quite deep - apart from when Moyes pushes Felli up front. If they're sitting deep then we're asking for pressure.

well the loan signing and kid at least need a chance before we go get another striker on loan, unless its a proven goalscorer, whats point. lets get tevez on a free or loan with citeh paying his wages :-))

oh fck off, if your gonna be clueless ill point out everygame and the mistakes

    week 1 qpr- jags mistake

week 3- blackburn, need i say more both CBS where shocking ( conceded 2 pens aswell)
week 4- villa, no closing down for petrovs goal, distin let gabby run past him and have a free header
week 5- wigan, how that lad turned and got a shot in is beyond me
week 6- wba, didnt watch it tbh cant say
week 7- both had good games exept the second goal, ( embarrising )
week 8- derby, jags made to many mistakes yet again.

im assuming your gonna blame the heat for all 8 games?

We need a creative midfield player more than anything. As for getting rid of Jagielka, lolYou.

Distin has done nothing wrong all season (including the Agbonlahor goal....it was Hibbert whose job it was to not give Albrighton half an hour to measure that perfect cross) or most of last. I have some sympathy for him on that second goal on Saturday coz he was falling backwards and wasn't able to get a proper contact on the ball

jags hasn't been dodgy in every game but one moment of madness last week at City and a couple more in the derby are worrying!

when goalies and defenders make a mistake its always noticed. not so much with midfield or strikers.

one mistake, but what about all the tackles that they got right?

no chance of either being sold, they are excellent defenders.

but nev and distin are reaching the end of the line and we will have to look for replacements, unless we have some coming thru the ranks!

for me the first goal was simply moyes got his subs wrong.....nevill was put in the centre to close up the midfield..he took ossie out this exposed hibbo.....lpool put bellamy on so that bellamy and and their gypo left back could 2 up on hibbo..which they did...hence crosses into our box...being hyper crytical baines was stood too far off carol in our own box.....poor defending yes....exposure to tactics yes....tiredness being downt o 10 men yes !!

all factors in the first goal !! imo......

Agreed with that KHL - direct link between the substitution; Everton's shape; and the first goal!

Well I don't agree. We were down to 10 men so someone had to be doubled up on somewhere! If we hadn't shored up the centre, Gerrard would have had a free role in there with him and Lucas doubling on Fellaini. You can't have it both ways!

We were defending with 8 men - two banks of four with Saha up top.  They had 2 CB's holding back to cover Saha - that was the doubling up you're talking about. There was no excuse for us to allow Hibbert to be doubled.

If we had had two banks of 4, properly marshaled with Neville out with Hibbert we would have been fine. As we were before Osman went off. Gerrard and Lucas would not have overrun Fellaini because Fellaini was being helped out by Cahill.
