for rodwell, hes had his critics me included but last few weeks hes started performing a lot better, and ive started to get a little confidence in him, for once he showed some real class, with a fantastic challenge, total quality, a tackle that should of had the likes of alan hansen in total appreciation of his talents, with tackling of that quality on a consistent basis he would be a great assett to any team, and he gets sent off for it, beggars belief doesnt it, the game has gone mad, i think a lot of people in football need to go give there head a wobble, i hope he doesnt lose confidence with a break and i hope the support he will get from the media will lift him. well done jack for reminding us why you were so highly rated within the game, pity the game let you down.

Just needs a decent run of games, unfortunately the ref has made this a 20minute game for him adn tried to make him lose the next 3.. Hopefully it will be argued and rescinded.. Certainly wouldn't be justice done though.

The game has been become a woman's game only if Rodwell's challenge is considered a straight red. Every job has its risks, the FA has taken any sort of risk of becoming injured in a tackle out of the game by trying to take contact out of the sport. Its not fair on the players, fans and the game. I want to see crunching tackles as long as they're not 100% pre-meditated. Then if a player is hurt in a challenge. Its just bad luck, but its their job. They're getting paid enough as reward they should be able to take the risks, right? And in no way was Rodwell's challenge on Suarez a red card let alone a free! If anything it was a yellow for Suarez for faking an injury when he was hardly touched. The FA would want to cop on and stop this vendetta against Everton, I don't know why they are so against us!!!

Call me bitter if you like but I just want to see Suarez carried off with a career ending broken f**king neck having tripped over a "fair play" banner ...

I'd be stunned if there's no appeal against Jack's red card, but that's the Everton way, we don't kick up a fuss, even when we've been hard done by.

I expect us to appeal and have the red card overturned.  This doesn't change anything though - and whats the bet that we'll be writing about the exact same thing after the next derby?

The live coverage over in the Middle East said they can against a straight red but not against a yellow. It happen to Terry when he rugby takled someone on the half way line when he was last defender but was considered not to be a clear goalscoring opportunity so it was downgraded to yellow.

I was actually thinking before he got sent off that he was looking really good today and was actually putting in some good tackles (Including THAT tackle). We definatly have to appeal because Rodwell needs to keep playing so he can reach the potential that he's began to start showing again in the last few weeks.
