I heard he would be fit, but it doesn't look like he will be fit enough.

If he isn't fit I'd like to see Vellios and Stracqualursi upfront against the red sh|te. And if he is fit then I'd like to see Cahill playing just behind Vellios.

    I wouldn't argue with this.

altho timmy is a talisman vs the reds, maybe moyes will be forced to use vellios or denis, i really think vellios would be a real handfull for their centre backs, and someone with pace running off vellios i think we could really get at them, altho theres always felliani and osman for moyes to throw upfront :-(( im just hoping for a positive formation, maybe osman off vellios if cahill is unfit, if cahill is fit then its osman out of position wide left or worse still upfront with cahill.

Stracq with Osman behind ( 2 with good footballing sense ), Vellios to come on if needed, for one or the other.

    for me

    howard
    hibbert
    jags
    disten
    baines
    barkley
    felli
    rodwell
    drenthe
    osman
    vellios
osman drifting around linking up play, maybe drenthe can swap around at times with osman and play off vellios from goal kicks etc using his pace to get on end of vellios's flick ons etc, i would like to see barkley start he can open up teams a lot more than coleman, i think its there for barkley to write his name in the record books and become a massive hit with a great derby performance, cometh the hour cometh the kid :-))

well vellios has looked the part when hes come on, think he has earned a start before denis who weve not seen enough of, and vellios looks a good footballer and is good on the deck .

See where your coming from, and a bit fairytale with Barkley, but these things can happen. However it is a derby and to many inexperienced and out of form players there, i'd go with:-
    Howard
    Hibbo Jags Distin Baines
    Fellaini
    Coleman Osman Drenthe
Cahill...........................................If not fit change to Osman, and Rodwell in middle.
    Stracq

Subs Mucha, Saha, Vellios, Gueye, Neville, Heitinga,Barkley

dont you think a midfield of osman drenthe and coleman looks a little small and weak, rodwells looked better of late cant see any reason not to play him, we be tiny at set pieces lol

I agree. That's why I think Felli and Rodders will play quite defensive so the two wingers can charge forward.

yeh drenthe and barkely/coleman could push on , just think colemans final ball is a little poor, think barkleys ability on the ball and to spot a pass will be good
