Well id give him another contract but its another classic example of Evertons contract policy. He can sign a pre-contract with a European club in January. If thats the case its another 5 mill down the swanny.
Although i think he`ll sign, EFC do bother me when it comes to this

He rejected a contract already but that was because it was only a 1 year deal and he wanted a 2 year deal.

right !. he`s holding all the cards now. my point exactly. EFC now have 2 choices. Give him a 2 year or go for a free. either way he wins. we always leave it too late

I'm happy to see a player turn down a contract because he wants to play more football. It makes a refreshing change to the usual money grabbers (Pienaar, Lescott, etc).

is Distin not getting enough games? . I agree if a player isnt getting games, its fair doos to let the contract go down but this isnt the case with Distin

w will get another 2 seasons out of him , still be good enough for next season, maybe season after he would be good experienced cover, maybe time for jags and johnny or maybe duffy or another youngster to shine, maybe rodwell with a little more experience maybe the centre back everyone said he would be, another 2/3 years should give him the experience ,give sylvan 2 years

I wouldn't renew it. We've looked no where near as defensively solid as we did with Jags/Yobo and Jags/Lescott.

2 years without a doubt i would give it to him. He is our best defender and our quickest player still.. He will slow down but he is a monster at the back. Will be for several years.

I agree. Giggs is 65 (I maybe one or two years out) now and he is going strong and Distin looks fitter and he plays a position that demands less running.

I think he'll forget about Distin if he can convince Anichebe to sign on for another 5-10 years. Just my opinion like.
